Nepal defeat Bhutan by 8 wickets in ACC Women’s Championship
Nepal defeated Bhutan by eight wickets in the opener of the ACC Women’s Championship held in Thailand on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, Bhutan posted a target of 66 runs losing eight wickets in 25 overs as Rubina Chettri and Neera Rajopadhya grabbed two wickets each for Nepal. Dechen Wangmo has scored 23 runs for Bhutan.
While chasing the target, Nepal easily met the target at 13.4 overs scoring total 68 runs as Roshani Bohara contributed 19 runs, Sita Magar 18 runs and Sarita Magar 11 runs.
Chettri is also declared player of the match. Now, Nepal will take of UAE on Friday. Nepal has been drawn in Group A alongside Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bhutan, UAE and Afghanistan.
The winner will be qualified to the Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier to be held in Ireland in August. Nepalnews.com
