Dr Shakya reelected Nepa Rastriya Party chief

The Nepa Rastriya Party (NRP) elected a 46-member central committee under the leadership of Dr. Keshavman Shakya.

The First General Convention of the party that was established on Magh 15,
2064 BS re-elected Dr. Shakya as the chairman, unanimously, state-run news agency RSS reported.

The general convention that was started on Friday with the main slogan 'Jhingu Thagu Shasan, Newa Swashan' (Our own rule, Newa Autonomy) has passed people's nationalism, five geographical provinces and 16 ethnic states from the general convention.

Dr. Shakya said the party would call the central committee meeting soon and give portfolios to the party leaders.

The party would play necessary role to forge national consensus holding political and social talks regarding the latest political development.

Similarly, the party has decided to join other political parties for secular, republican, federalism, inclusive state and for social justice. Nepalnews.com
