Ruling coalition inviting confrontation: Poudel

Nepali Congress vice president Ram Chandra Poudel Monday said that the ruling coalition’s decision to mobilise the public in its support is an open invitation to confrontation with the opposition parties.

“The ruling alliance’s decision to launch street movement shows that they want confrontation with the opposition,” Poudel said at a media gathering organised by Nepal Press Union in Baglung.

He said there was no point continuing talks with the ruling coalition and that the opposition parties were convinced that the government can be ousted only through street protests.

Claiming that the NC has a history of conducting free and fair elections, Poudel said only a NC-led government can find a way out of the crisis. Nepalnews.com
