ANFA slaps Rs. 200,000 to MYA, bans officials for football brawl
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has slapped a fine of Rs. 200,000 to Iceberg Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) and banned its officials from talking part in any football events until next year’s registration for B Division.
The ANFA’s Disciplinary Committee meeting on Monday took the decision after the club was found guilty in a brawl during the match against Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club in Red Bull A Division League on January 23.
The committee has accused the team of violating the rule by involving in a brawl which is not in favour.
If the team and the officials are found going against the committee’s verdict, they will have to face further actions, said ANFA in a press statement.
Issuing a press statement on January 24, MYA had also demanded proper investigation over the decisions of referee Bikash Singh Mahat during their match against Sherpa citing Mahat had taken wrong decisions which were not in favour of the team.
