PM Bhattarai can also be arrested in UK: GAESO chair

Chairman of Gurkha Army Ex Servicemen’s Organisation (GAESO) Padam Bahadur Gurung has said there is possibility that the British government which arrested Nepal Army Colonel Kumar Lama for his involvement in human rights violations can also apprehend Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on same count.

Speaking at an interaction organised by Association of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists (ANIJ) at Pokhara of Kaski district on Tuesday, Gurung said that the fact that Nepal Police Chief Kuber Singh Rana was denied UK visa and Kumar Lama was arrested while visiting his family in UK has given fuel to suspicion that PM Bhattarai can also be arrested for obstructing investigation into cases related to insurgency-era crimes.
