PM tells Prez parties involved in ‘election-centric’ talks

With the deepening political crisis in the country, embattled Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Wednesday.

PM Bhattarai reached Shital Niwas, the President’s Office, this morning and discussed the latest political situation of the country with the Head of State, it is learnt. However, the actual details of the meeting couldn’t be known immediately.

It is learnt that during the meeting President Yadav inquired with PM Bhattarai about the latest attempts being made to forge consensus among the political parties.

In reply, PM Bhattarai informed that the political parties are involved in election-centric informal talks and expressed confidence that the political deadlock facing the country would soon end. Nepalnews.com
