School bus knocks down cyclist at Balaju

A cyclist was killed after being hit by a school bus at Balaju, in the Ring Road area, in Kathmandu Thursday.

The school bus (BA 1 Ka 4339) heading to Balaju from Naya Bus Park lost balance and overturned on the side of the road, hitting the cyclist on the road. Five others were injured in the accident.

The deceased, who died while undergoing treatment, has been identified as Narayan Khatri, 38, of Dolakha. The injured are currently receiving treatment at Janamaitri Hospital in Balaju.

The driver of the bus fled after the accident, police said. Nepalnews.com
