Nepal secure 3rd place in ACC Women’s Championship
Nepal have secured third position in the ACC Women’s Championship 2013 after defeating Hong Kong by eight wickets in the 3rd/4th Playoff Match held at Gymkhana in Thailand on Friday.
Nepal chose to field first after winning the toss, restricting Hong Kong to just 32 runs in 19 overs as Nary Thapa grabbed three wickets and Rubina Chhetry took two wickets.
Nepal met the paltry target in 7.3 overs with the loss of two wickets. Sita Magar scored 10 runs highest amongst Nepalis.
Meanwhile, host Thailand defeated China in the final match to lift the title of the Championship today. Thailand had defeated Nepal by seven wickets in the semi-final match of the Championship on Wednesday. nepalnews.com
