Rape accused caught after 5 yrs

Police made public a man arrested on the charge of raping a minor in Rautahut district amidst a press conference on Friday, state-owned news
agency RSS reported.

Police arrested Mohamed Majirahul Deban, 21 of Laxmipur Dostiya Ward No. 1 following a tip off.

He had been absconding for the last five years after committing the crime.

Deban had raped a four-year-old girl of the same VDC and had been absconding since then, Superintendent of Police (SP) Govindaram Pariyar at
the press conference told RSS.

Deban, who introduced himself as Prabej Alam, has already confessed to raping the minor. nepalnews.com
