NC imposes bandh in remote Humla district

The Nepali Congress enforced bandh (shutdown strike) in the district headquarters of remote Humla on Friday to protest the closure of the Western High Hills Poverty Allegation Project.

Schools and marketplaces remained closed in Simikot due to the bandh. The NC district committee warned of further intensifying the protest if the project is not re-introduced in the district.
