AFC Group 'D' Qualifiers: Nepal beat Northern Mariana Islands 6-0 in one-sided match
In a thoroughly one-sided match, Nepal beat Northern Mariana Islands 6-0 in their first encounter under the AFC Championship Group 'D' Qualifiers held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu Saturday evening.

Bharat Khawas (Jersey No. 21) made a hat-trick while Santosh Shahukhala, Raju Tamang and Sandeep Rai scored one goal each to secure an easy victory.
Khawas scored the opening goal in an early third minute while Shahukhala doubled the score in the 29th minute. Similarly, Khawas doubled his score in the 40th minute and Tamang utilised a penalty in the 59th minute as opponent Northern Mariana’s player fouled Jagadish Shrestha inside the D-box.
Similarly, Rai scored in the 67th minute to make it 5-0 while Khawas scored another utilising a cross pass from captain Sagar Thapa to register the first hat-trick in the Qualifiers.
With the three goals, Khawas also become the fourth Nepali player to make a hat-trick in international matches. Nepalnews.com
