Two killed as former state minister Karima Begum's jeep runs over motorbike
Two persons on a motorbike were killed after being hit by the jeep carrying former state minister Karima Begum, in Nawalparasi Saturday evening.

Motorcyclist Manoj Dhakal and pillion rider Apsara Dhungana of Bharatpur Municipality-7, who were critically injured when their motorbike was run over by Bagum's jeep (Ba-6-Cha 7404) at Thumsi Jungle near Gaindakot, died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Medical College, reports said quoting local police.
Six persons travelling in the jeep including Begum received minor injuries in the accident and they returned home after first aid. Police said they are investigating the accident.
Beghum, who was Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperatives in the Madhav Kumar Nepal-ed government, had frequently courted controversy, most memorable being the slapping of the CDO of Parsa Durga Prasad Bhandari for sending an old car to pick up her at the airport. nepalnews.com
