Home Minister's party enforces strike in Janakpur

Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar's party Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Loktantrik has enforced a general strike in Janakpur in protest of 'police high-handedness'.

Local party leaders have alleged that police manhandled cadres, who were at the Dhanusa District Office to seek information on a graft case, 'for no reason', on Sunday.

Dhanusa LDO Taranath Sharma said that it was he who was attacked by the party cadres, and the other way round.
