Doctors at Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok have put former crown prince Paras Shah off life support from Sunday following improvement in his condition.
His heath has shown slow but steady improvement since he regained consciousness on Saturday, the hospital said in a statement.
Paras was on life support ever since he was admitted at the hospital following a major heart attack on February 19. His wife Himani, three children and his parents - former king Gyanendra and former queen Komal - are currently in Bangkok along with few close relatives.
"The patient is conscious and has started to communicate," said Cardiologist Dr Mann Chandavimol and Neurologist Songchai Chinwattanakul.
"Since today morning, he has started taking sips of water himself."
The doctors said that Shah, who will be given physiotherapy, will undergo an MRI for doctors to re-assess his nervous system. Nepalnews.com
