Stock market sees negative growth
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index is in downward trend since the beginning of the first trading day on Sunday.
The stock market lost l0.89 points to stand at 541.55 points, 0.36 points on Monday and 2.74 points to rest at 538.45 points on Tuesday, the third trading day today.
As of Tuesday’s sub-indices, banking, trading, hydropower and insurance groups are negative by 4.36 points, 2.53 points, 8.29 points and 6.45 points. However, hotel is positive by 0.56 points, development bank 0.07 points, finance 0.57 points and others 1.18 points.
The secondary market registered a turnover of Rs. 128 million, trading 398,506 unit shares through 1374 transactions today.
Over last week, the stock market had gained 4.01 points to settle at 542.34 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 538.33 points. nepalnews.com
