EU delegation meets UML chief, calls for local polls pronto

The delegation of the European Union to Nepal, along with ambassadors from Switzerland and Norway called on UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal the Party office in Balkhu on Wednesday.

During the meeting the delegation urged Khanal to take steps to conduct local elections to meet the donors’ expectations and people’s demands for more accountable, transparent, and effective delivery of services at the local level, the party said in a statement.
