Three ex Indian army chiefs to attend Army Day event in Kathmandu
Three former chiefs of the Indian Army are to participate in Nepal Army's function in Kathmandu on the occasion of the Army Day and Maha Shivaratri on Sunday (March 10).
Former Indian army chief Shankar Roychowdhury arrived in Kathmandu on Thurday while two other former chiefs, Sunith Francis Rodrigues and Deepak Kapoor, are expected in Kathmandu on Friday, the Directorate of the Public Relations of Nepal Army said.
All three former Indian Army chiefs were conferred the title of honourary General of the NA during their tenures as per the long-held tradition of the two armies.
The ex-Indian military chiefs will meet Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher Rana on March 11 and will return to India the next day. nepalnews.com
