Rogue cop who fled custody nabbed from bordering India town
A police constable accused of series of thefts, who had fled the custody in the District Police Office of Dolakha two weeks earlier, has been arrested from the bordering Indian town near Birgunj.
Constable Khem Raj Praja, who was detained on charges of robbing over a dozen shops over the last two years, was arrested from Narkatiya Railway station in India Wednesday evening with the help of Indian police, reports said. He was trying to board a train to New Delhi.
Praja, who had completed commando training, was arrested on February 18 along with a truckload of stolen goods and was kept in custody. He ran way after breaking the ventilation of his cell.
