'A' Division Super Eight League kicks off; Police beat TSC

Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated Three Star Club (TSC) 2-1 in the first match of the Red Bull 'A' Division Super Eight League that kicked off at Dasharath Stadium in the capital on Friday.

NPC that were at the bottom among the supper eight teams beat league’s leader TSC by one goal from Ramesh Katwal in the early fourth minute and Jumanu Rai in the 70th minute. However, Three Star’s Bishnu Gurung scored for his team in the 74th minute.

Three Stars are still at the top of the league’s table with 35 points, seven points difference with Nepal Army Club while Nepal Police have climbed to seventh spot collecting 26 points after playing 26 matches. Nepalnews.com
