Chinese envoy Wu meets Maoist chief Dahal

Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai called on UCPN (M) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his residence in Lazimpat on Monday.

Wu arrived in Nepal last week to head the Chinese mission after his predecessor, Yang Houlan, was recalled from Kathmandu to be appointed ambassador to Burma.

Dahal and Wu discussed recent political events in Nepal, China and in the neighbourhood, an aide to the Maoist chief said. The ruling party chief also updated the envoy on ongoing efforts to form an election government, he added. Nepalnews.com
