Supply of petroleum will ease gradually: NOC
The normal supply of petroleum products will ease out gradually from Wednesday, Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) officials said today.
The long queues of vehicles were seen in front of gas stations in the capital Tuesday as well due to short supply of fuel. "The supply will be normal in a couple of days," said NOC spokesperson Shiva Prasad Pudasaini.
The fuel shortage started following the week-long protest of tanker operators and also due to the public holidays and strike of different political parties in between.
Despite an agreement between the tankers operators and state oil monopoly last week the supply has not eased. The number of tankers for the supply of fuels from India has declined following the murder of a Nepali tanker driver in India, according to NOC. Nepalnews.com
