Indian assistance of Rs. 22.23 million to Tanahun school
The government of India has provided grant assistance of Rs. 22.23 million to Shree Shiva Saraswati Higher Secondary School, Tanahun, under Nepal- India Economic Cooperation Programme.
The aid will help in creation of better facilities for over 800 students, about 50 percent of whom are girls and would create an improved environment for learning and contribute to the development of the education in the district, the Indian Embassy said in a statement.
Piyush Srivastava, Counsellor (P&EC), on behalf of the Ambassador of India, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a double storied building for the shool. The project will be implemented by the District Development Committee, Tanahun. nepalnews.com
