MMC, MFC win in ‘A’ Div Super Eight League

Manag Marshyangdi Club (MMC) defeated Nepal Army Club (NAC) to secure second spot in the ongoing Red Bull ‘A’ Division Super Eight League Football Tournament held at Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday.

A single goal from Anil Gurung in the early sixth minute proved to be match winning goal for MMC. With the win, MMC have accumulated total 32 points while Army are in the fifth spot with 29 points.

In another match of the day, NMB Machhindra Football Club (MFC) defeated McDowells Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 2-1.

Machhindra’s Deepak Rai scored an opening goal in the 29th minute while Amar Dongol equalised the score in the 76th minute but Bishal Rai A scored in the 88th minute helped to doubled the score to secure 2-1 victory against RCT.

With the win, Machhindra have collected 30 points while RCT are in the eighth spot with 36 points after playing their respective 17 matches. Nepalnews.com
