Police publicise alleged drug peddlers

Police teams deployed from Narcotic Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit, Naya Baneswor, have arrested four drug peddlers from different places of Kathmandu Valley in recent haul in between March 4 to 9, 2013.

The Unit brought the arrested persons in front of the media at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued by the Unit, an Indian national Mohamad Faruk Alam, 36, was held with 110 gm brown heroin from Koteshwor while Prakash Sunar, 25, of Kanchanpur district was arrested with 1540 pieces of illegal Ampouleincluding, 820 pieces of Buprifin Ampoule and 720 pieces of Diazepam Ampoule from Teaching Hospital gate, Maharajgunj, on March 4.

Similarly, Kumar Jaiswal, 22, of Rautahat district was held with 2150 pieces of Buprifin Ampoule and 1350 pieces of Diazepam Ampoule from Chabahil on the same day.

Likewise, Ram Bahadur Waiba, 30, of Makawanpur district apprehended with 13 kg of cannabis while 51 kg was seized on the process to purification on March 9.

Meanwhile, a police team from Bhairahawa Unit arrested Siva Prasad Gurung, 25, of Syanja district and Thar Bahadur Biri, 30, of Kaski with illegal drugs from Rupendehi recently. Nepalnews.com
