Four parties form 8-member political committee headed by UCPN (M) chairman

The four major political parties formed an 8-member high-level political committee under the leadership of UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday.

The panel, which will be chaired by the top leaders of the four parties on rotational basis every month, comprises top leaders and one more representative from each party. The main job of the panel will be to advise the interim election government and make recommendations for appointments of the remaining cabinet members and the office-bearers in the Election Commission and other constitutional bodies.

Today's four-party meeting also decided to hold talks with the agitating smaller parties to convince them to take part in the elections. Nepalnews.com
