NA to organise international military exercise
Nepal Army has announced plans to host an international military exercise from March 25 to April 7 in Nepal with to enhance peacekeeping capabilities.
The exercise, called Shanti Prayas-2 , will be held in Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre, Panchkhal, and Kathmandu, said the army.
The plan is part of the ongoing series of exercises in the Asia-Pacific region designed to promote regional peace and security and enhance the peacekeeping capabilities and capacity of nations participating in the Global Peace Operations Initiative, said the army.
As a major troops contributor to UN missions, Nepal and the Nepal Army have extensive knowledge and experience in peace support operations.
Hosting this type of exercise in Nepal will not only enhance Nepal's peacekeeping capabilities but also help other participating nations,
