Vaidya off to NY for review of Almaty Programme of Action
Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) president Suraj Vaidya on Monday left for New York to participate in a 10-year review conference on the implementation of the Almaty Programme of Action, Brainstorming Meeting on the Priorities of a New Development Agenda for the Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).
The conference is scheduled to be held from March 20 to 21. Nepal has been coordinating the United Nations least developed countries.
The conference will be chaired by Under Secretary General of the Second UN Conference on LLDCs Gyan Chandra Acharya.
Vaidya is set to present the private sector’s opinion on the priority agendas for the development of developing nations, said the apex body of business community.
Similarly, Vaidya is also set to address the session on LLDCs and International Trade and Trade Facilitation on the inaugural day. Nepalnews.com
