Elections topmost priority, says FM Koirala

Newly appointed Minister for Finance, Industry and Commerce and Supplies Shankar Koirala has said that the government’s main priority is to hold elections within stipulated time. He said the government is preparing to introduce a full-budget.

During the meeting with the private sector led by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) senior vice-president Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar Koirala assured the delegation that the government will work together with the private sector to boost the economy of the country.

The government is also focusing on promotion of exports by displacing imports, said Koirala.

Expressing concern over the current trade-led economy of the country, the Finance Minister said the government will emphasis on industrial development.

On the occasion, welcoming the commitment of the government to introduce the remaining budget of the current fiscal year, the private sector representatives also urged the FM to introduce the timely budget.

Similarly, the entrepreneurs also demanded improved security to do their business smoothly along with the implementation of the agreement reached between the private sector and the government. nepalnews.com
