Eleven Nepali women arrested in Sri Lanka

Eleven Nepali women were arrested in Sri Lanka for the violation of tourist entry visa provisions this week, local media report said quoting police.

The Nepali women who were working in a night dance club illegally have been detained from a Colombo night club in the suburb of Bambalapitiya.

It is learnt that the detained women have been handed over to the immigrations authorities for the further interrogations.

Sri Lanka has tightened the visa system following misuse of tourist visas since last year. nepalnews.com
