Dahal to contest election from Madhesh constituency

UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Friday announced that he would contest the upcoming elections from one of the constituencies in Madhesh.

Addressing a function organised to mark the 11th death anniversary of martyr Ajab Lal Yadav in Sakhuwa Dhanushadham in Dhanusha district, Dahal said he would file candidacy from a Madhesh constituency to show party's commitment to the agenda of federalism.

Saying that the party lost a number of seats it could otherwise have won easily in Terai-Madhesh in the last Constituent Assembly elections, the Maoist chairman claimed that it would emerge stronger in the upcoming elections. Nepalnews.com
