Nepali rupee dips to nearly Rs. 110 a dollar
The Nepali rupee has depreciated to nearly Rs. 110 per US dollar as the Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the selling exchange rate at Rs. 109.33 against a dollar for Wednesday.
The central bank fixes the exchange rate following the change in the value of India Currency (IC) against greenback. The Nepali rupee is pegged with IC as the exchange rate is fixed at Rs. 160 against IRs. 100.
The Indian rupee has depreciated to IRs. 67.20 a dollar on Tuesday from Monday’s IRs. 66.01 a dollar.
The IC had dipped to IRs. 68.85 against greenback on August 28 while Nepali currency had plunged to Rs. 108.90 on August 29. nepalnews.com
