NEPSE dips by 5.08 points; transaction up by 140 pc
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has dipped by 5.08 points to settle at 546.55 points on Thursday from last Sunday’s 551.63 points.
However, the transaction amount has increased by 140.47 percent to over Rs 2.9 billion over last week from Rs 872.1 million.
As per the sub-indices of the secondary market, hydropower lost highest of 39.32 points, other 15.27 points, commercial banks 3.69 points and development banks 3.44 points.
Meanwhile, insurance group gained 6.75 points, hotel 4.51 points, insurance 2.91 points and trading group 0.45 points. However, manufacturing group remained unchanged at 884.02 points over a week.
Of the total transaction, ‘A’ category companies alone contributed Rs 884.04 million which is 41.97 percent of the total transaction.
Similarly, Nepal Bangladesh Bank stood at the top of the chart in terms of highest transaction registering Rs 866.18 million. nepalnews.com
