Apex court upholds decision to appoint Nirola as NTB’s acting CEO
The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the decision to appoint Subash Nirola as Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) acting Chief Executive Officer.
The single bench of acting Chief Justice Damodar Prasad Sharma upheld the decision made by 187th meeting of Executive Committee of the board held on July 15, 2013 regarding the appointment of Nirola as acting CEO of the board.
In his verdict, Sharma also revoked the decision made by a Justice of Appellate Court Patan on August 25, 2013 challenging the decision made by 187th Executive Committee of the board and ordered not to implement it.
With this decision, Nirola, who had been working in the capacity of officiating CEO, now becomes acting CEO and member secretary of the board.
Nirola had joined the NTB as a director in 2000 and was senior most director prior to being appointed as officiating CEO. nepalnews.com
