Singhaleela National Park re-opened
The Singhaleela National Park spanning across the Nepal-India border re-opened for visitors on 15 September.
Park authorities had closed the wildlife sanctuary for visitors for three months, citing breeding season of the rare red panda. Visitors had been banned for entering the park since June 15. The park had also prohibited entry of visitors on the trekking route inside the park from Tamling area in Ilam to Phalot area in Panchthar.
India has constructed trekking route along the Nepal-India border area from anebhanjyang of Pashupatinagar leading to the Kanchanjunga Base Camp. he park was declared a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1986, and was made a national park in 1992. RSS
