Lincoln School claims LA Inter-School Swimming Championship
Lincoln School clinched the title of the 14th LA Inter-School Swimming Championship, concluded at Little Angels´ swimming pool in Hattiban, Lalitpur on Sunday.
Lincoln won the title with 176 points while host LA finished second with 112 points and HIMS third with 38 points.
Sofia Shah of Lincoln claimed 7 gold medals including 2 in relay and 5 in individual events. On the last day of the event on Sunday, Shah added gold medals in the girls´ above-15 years 50m breaststroke clocking 37.29 seconds and 50m freestyle with the timing of 29.55 seconds.
Similarly, Manish Chitrakar of HIMS won five gold medals, including two on Sunday. He won gold in the boys´ above-15 years 50m backstroke with the timing of 34.34 seconds and 50m freestyle finishing at 27.34 second on the last day to tally his gold to five.
Likewise, Lincoln’s Oshina Bharati clinched gold in 100m individual medley of girls´ 13-14 years age group with the timing of 1 minute 21.79 seconds, 50m backstroke clocking 38.74 seconds and 50m freestyle with 33.27 seconds. Shah and Bharati were also the member of the Lincoln team that won the 4x50m freestyle relay.
Meanwhile, Devesh Manandhar of Holy Garden won three gold medals while Tenzing Doma Sherpa of LA and Alex Shah of Lincoln won two gold medals each.
