BCCI approves Nepali Nat’l Cricket team tour to India for practice match
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has approved Nepal tour to India to play practice matches with the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA).
As per the deal signed with DDCA by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) recently, Nepali National Team is scheduled to visit India from October 20 to 30, 2013 for practice matches.
The tour is arranged as part of preparation prior to upcoming T20 World Cup Qualifiers that is going to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November.
Meanwhile, CAN has allocated US$ 250,000 for the trainings to the national team under - the High Performance Programme – that is unveiled on September 11, RSS report quoted CAN chairman Tanka Angbuhang as saying.
“CAN is taking initiatives to bring coach from Victoria State of Australia, Chrish Harris, to Nepal as per the High Performance Training to Nepali cricket team.”
Similarly, the National team is also set to play practice matches with two countries among India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh focusing ICC World Cup Qualifiers to be held in New Zealand next year. Nepalnews.com
