CIAA's regional offices comes into operation in all five development regions
The regional offices of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has come into operation in all five development regions of the country from Tuesday.
CIAA said it has set up regional offices in Dhankuta of the eastern region, Hetauda in central region, Pokhara in western region, Surkhet in mid-western and Dipayal of far western region.
Meanwhile, Hariraj Panta has been appointed chief of CIAA’s regional office in eastern region, Biswanath Dhakal has been appointed chief of CIAA’s central regional office, Durga Prasad Pokharel is the head of eastern regional office, Mukunda Raj Panthi is the head of mid-western and Bishnu Singh is the chief of the anti-graft agency’s far-western regional office.
Saying that all five regional offices have started their work from Tuesday, CIAA appealed to all concerned to notify, inform as well as register complaints and grievances regarding corruption-related activities, misappropriation, abuse of power including discrepancies, delays and indecision seen in government offices, departments including public corporations and enterprises that are partially or fully owned by the state.
The government had through the budget of the current fiscal year announced that regional offices of CIAA will be established in all five development regions of the country. Nepalnews.com/ag
