Coca-Cola Cup kicks off
The final rounds of Coca-Cola Cup Inter-School National Football Tournament kicked off at ANFA Technical Centre at Satdobato, Kathmandu, on Thursday.
Deputy Secretary of Youth and Sports Ministry Shantiram Sharma inaugurated the tournament by handing over the ball to referee Rojen Shrestha.
In the inaugural match, Shree Madhyamik Bidhyalaya of Mahotari had defeated Sidhartha Vanasthali School of Kathmandu 1-0. However, ANFA declared Sidhartha Vanasthali the winner after Shree Madhyamik was found to be fielding an ineligible player.
Sidhartha Vanasthali hadlodged a complaint against the opponent.
Similarly, Ghandi Adarsha Secondary School of Khathmandu thrashed Bhanu Memorial Boarding School of Morang 6-0 in another match of the day.
Likewise, Sainik Boarding Secondary School, Bhaktapur, beat Karmeshwor Ma Vi Kailali 2-1, Gandaki Secondary School secured victory against Apple Academy of Kathmandu 2-0. nepalnews.com
