CPN-Maoist threatens to disrupt election
A senior leader of CPN-Maoist party, which leads the poll-opposing 33-party alliance, has threatened to disrupt the election to the second Constituent Assembly (CA).
Netra Bikram Chanda, who is secretary of Mohan Baidya-led party, said his party will do everything in its power to make the election scheduled for November 19 a “failure”.
Speaking at the inaugural of “Youth March” campaign in Nuwakot district on Friday, he said the elections are being carried out in a pre-planned manner to push the country into further conflict and violence.
Chanda further said that his party would soon promulgate a “people’s constitution”, and directed his party cadres to engage in activities to disrupt the election. Nepalnews.com
