NEPSE index dips marginally
The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has dropped by 1.03 points to settle at 548.65 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 549.68 points last week.
As per the sub-indices to the secondary market, insurance group gained a whopping 60.10 points while hotels group posted 27.27 points gain.
However, hydropower and commercial bank groups plunged by 16.10 points and 3.91 points, respectively while development bank and finance dipped by 3.49 poitns and 0.72 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, sub-indices of manufacturing, trading and others groups remained unchanged over last week.
Over a week, the stock market registered a turnover of Rs 587.9 million trading 2.11 million units of shares of 134 companies. The transaction amount is a decline by 39.56 percent against a turnover of Rs 972 million the previous week.
Everest Bank has topped the chart in terms of highest transaction with 74.32 million. nepalnews.com
