ANFA all set for AFC U-16 Qualifiers on Sept 25
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has completed its the preparation for the AFC U-16 Qualifiers, Group C, scheduled at Dasharath Stadium in the capital from September 25 to 29.
Organising a press conference in the capital on Monday, ANFA general secretary Dhirendra Pradhan said the association has completed all the necessary preparation for the qualifiers.
ANFA also set the ticket price at Rs 200 for open parapet and at Rs 500 for closed parapet. The estimated budget for the tournament is Rs 4.7 million.
In the Group C qualifiers, Nepal has been drawn alongside Iraq, Bahrain and Turkmenistan. Nepal is set to take on Bahrain in the opening match of the qualifiers at 5 pm on Wednesday.
The team’s target is to give best performance and reach to the final round, said head coach Balgopal Maharjan. “Though the match will be competitive, the team will paly to win.”
All together 43 teams have entered the fray for this edition of the tournament and have been divided into 10 groups of five and four teams.
The 10 group winners and best five runner-up from all groups will qualify for the tournament in Thailand.
As a host Thailand will directly qualify to final berth. Timor-Leste, Cambodia and Mongolia are not participating in the tournament. nepalnews.com
