Final squad announced for AFC U-16 Qualifiers 2013
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced the final squad for the AFC U-16 Qualifiers 2013 amidst a function here in the capital on Tuesday.
The 23-member team includes goalkeeper Roman Rasaili, Prabin Shrestha and Srijan Shrestha while Akash Thapa, Ananta Tamang, Amit Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Rupesh Tamang, Tshering Gurung, Sudan Thapa and Gaurab Budhathoki have been selected as defenders.
Similarly, mid-fielders are Anil Rai, Kiran Sunar, Bikas Thapa, Rabi Bhandari, Lalit Thapa, Nishant Dhungana, Janom ligal and Hemant Thapa. Forwards include Bimal Gharti Magar, Anjan Bistha, Shiva Subedi and Sunil Bal.
Speaking at a pre-match conference, head coach Balgopal Maharjan said that the team’s target is to reach the final round of the qualifiers. “Though the teams in the group are competitive, we are only focused on qualifying to the next round.”
However, the team’s captain Bimal Magar said that the team should improve its performance in this championship and for this they have to cooperate with each other and work as a team.
