No option to nat'l consensus: Dev Gurung
CPN-Maoist secretary Dev Gurung has said that there was no option to national consensus to conduct the Constituent Assembly (CA) election to bring all parties in the election process.
At an interaction programme organised in Bhaktapur Tuesday, Gurung said that the CPN-Maoist has launched agitation for national consensus.
Saying that the CPN-Maoist was not a poll-opposing political party, Gurung said that they wanted to join the election process.
He said though the major political parties were positive to the four-point proposal submitted by the 33-alliance party, the top leaders of the parties turned back from the earlier position after the Indian foreign Secretary Sujhata Singh piled pressure on leaders and government.
Gurung also charged that the present election is being conducted on the design of the foreign power centers and the election to be held under the same circumstances would be boycotted.
