CPN-M loots negligible amount of voters’ education materials in Jajarkot
The poll-opposing CPN-Maoist has looted some negligible amount of voters’ education materials from two places of Jajarkot district in mid-west Nepal, said news reports on Saturday.
A few men, who had covered their faces with black shawls, took control of the materials, according to locals.
“The materials were looted from Khalanga and Thalwa VDCs while being transported for the voter education program,” said District Election Officer, Ganesh Bikram Shahi, adding that some 60 individuals would participate in the program.
Meanwhile, police have intensified search for those who took away the election materials.
“We have discovered that those materials were looted from those places, where there was no presence of security forces. We are determined to conduct the voters’ education program in the presence of adequate police security,” said Chief District Officer, Chakrapani Pandey. Nepalnews.com
