NEPSE index gains minimal 0.20 points
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by minimal 0.20 points to settle at 541.39 points on Thursday from Sunday's 541.19 points, last week.
As per the sub-indices of the secondary market, hydropower gained 39.78 points, hotel 29.98 points, finance 0.96 points and development bank 0.27 points.
Meanwhile, commercial banks lost 0.18 points, manufacturing 18.49 points and insurance 18.71 points. However, trading group remained unchanged at 169.68 points.
Over a week, the transaction amount has declined by 7.12 percent to Rs 546.08 million from the previous week's Rs 587.93 million.
Of the total turnover, 'A' category companies alone contributed Rs 281.16 million, which is 51.49 percent.
Kailash Bikas Bank has topped the chart in terms of highest transaction registering Rs 49.77 million, last week. Nepalnews.com
