Organizing a press meet Monday, Secretary at the Council of Ministers, Krishna Hari Baskota revealed this information to the journalists.
Among the total complaints, some 97 percent (24,759) have been settled as of Bhadra 2070 (mid-September 2013), Baskota said, adding that the government exhibited its promptness to solve the issues of the citizens.
"Most of the complaints were related to hassles while obtaining passport certificates. The other key complaints were related to land ownership and medical services provided by the hospitals," Baskota said.
In a bid to resolve citizens' problems, the government has formed a separate portal, from which the complaints are forwarded to concerned authorities through electronic medium (email or fax).
