The photo exhibition depicts the progress and achievement made by Tibetan Autonomous Region of China

In the last five decades, Tibetan Autonomous Region has made tremendous progress in terms of development of infrastructures including the railway connectivity to the rest of China and the expansion of road network making it easier to link bordering towns of Nepal, India and Bhutan.
From the physical development to the economic progress made by China in the last decade is gradually penetrating the rural Tibet also. Along with this physical development, Tibetan Autonomous Region of China is also able to preserve its own cultural and religious sites.
With high mountains on its south border, Tibetan Autonomous Region of China is full of naturally beautiful places. This is what one can see in the photo exhibition displayed at Nepal Art Council Gallery.
Along with beautiful and old temples and heritage sites, there are also a number of places with beauty like mountains, lakes and rivers. There are human settlements across the river sides and people have been living with their own culture.
This is what one can see in the photo exhibition. The photos depicted at the art gallery show China's development balancing with nature and culture. The roof of the world is still able to maintain this unique combination.
Taken during the last one year, the photograph which is displayed at the exhibition represents various themes. Some photographs displayed at the exhibition showed the modern town of Lhasa playing with its ancient culture.
Organized by Cultural Net and Tibet Photographer Association with the support of Chinese Embassy, International Cultural Exchange Association Tibet and Art and Literature Federation, there are 121 photographs taken by 42 photographers.
One can see the photographs of the Buddhist monks praying at Namu Lake, the horse riders are competing in the grass land of Tibetan Plateaus and beautiful Tibetan girls are welcoming the spring season. All these photographs are lively and taken very carefully to display the beauty as well as nature.
The photo exhibition is able to give complete picture of Tibet Autonomous Region and life surrounding the areas. The ladies working in the field and collecting the harvest of barley and wheat, two main crops of Tibetan Highland are some of the main attractions of exhibition.
One can see Tibetan monks and followers of Lamas carrying mane and chanting the Mantra of Buddha. Their faces reveal their happiness and salvation they feel while chanting the Mantra. Although Tibet is full of High Mountains but there are also many basins along the main rivers where farmers cultivate wheat, barley and other food stuffs.
Some rural folks are grazing their Chauris and lambs in the green pastures of Tibet. The attraction of beautiful Himalayas attract many visitors. The Potala place and many other monasteries - the photographers carefully capture in their camera. The blue sky with some white patches of cloud, the green pastures in the hills are all attractive pictures taken by photographers.
With the introduction of mechanical equipments, the life of Tibet has transformed completely. The farmers use their tractors to plough land. Along with tilling the land, the farmers also use the tractors to harvest the crops. This change has brought new life in Tibetan Autonomous Region of China.
The bull fighting of Wailai 'Country, the Kailash Mountain and the young dancing in front of Potala Palace are some of the other interesting photographs taken by professional photographers from China.
After looking at the exhibition, one can see the glimpses of Tibetan Autonomous Region of China and the combination of modernization with protecting the ancient values and culture of the region. For many Nepalis, the photograph reminds their own country's Himalayas.
