APPOINTED:  The Judicial Council has named 10 new chief judges and transferred six others in the Appellate Courts. The newly appointed chief judges include Purushottam Parajuli in Ilam, Bhupdhoj Adhikari in Biratnagar, Hari Prasad Ghimire in Dhankuta, Ali Akbar Mikhani in Rajbiraj, Keshari Raj Pandit in Hetauda, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki in Pokhara, Jogeshwor Subedi in Baglung, Hari Ram Koirala in Nepalgunj, Laxman Mani Rijal in Mahendranagar and Hari Babu Bhattarai in Tulsipur. Similarly, chief judges transferred by the council include Tarka Raj Bhatta to Butwal, Rana Bahadur Bam to Jumla, Mohan Prakash Sitaula to Dipayal, Avdesh Kumar Yadav to Sukhet, Girish Chandra Lal to Janakpur and Baidya Nath Upadhyay to Lalitpur.
