Kim Il Sung was a great revolutionary and a great man

Kim Il Sung was a great revolutionary and a great man of ennobling personalities. He was the great of the greatest, who has no equal in terms of personalities both as a revolutionary and as a man. He was a great revolutionary who devoted his all to achieving the victory of the revolution with infinite loyalty to the revolutionary cause. In the long period since he embarked on the road of revolution he only thought about the revolution and dedicated himself to it, working devotedly for its victory in spite of all the conceivable sorrows and agonies he experienced. He hardly took a good rest, even at an advanced age of over 80 giving on-site guidance at factories and rural villages. The world knows no such a great revolutionary as our President who, with devotion to the revolution and his people, finished all he should do by displaying superhuman energy till the last moment of his life and passed away in his office.

He was strong in faith and will and had unsurpassed pluck. In retrospect, the imperialists persisted in bringing pressure to bear upon our Republic and making military threats against it, and our revolution was faced with severe trials in countless numbers. Each time he boldly confronted the trials with the faith and assurance that we will emerge victorious as long as there are the Party, the government, the army and the people and with the matchless courage that there is always a way out even if the heavens may crumble; in this way he turned adversity and misfortune to good account, thus winning victory after victory. He was the supreme incarnation of revolutionary comradeship. Proceeding from the principle that the revolution means comrades and vice versa, he began his revolutionary struggle by gaining comrades, creating the most beautiful history of revolutionary comradeship. In the long period of making the revolution he took responsibility for the destiny and future of those, whoever they may be and with whom he had come into comradely relations, and protected them to the last, holding all the revolutionary soldiers in his embrace and bestowing great trust and love on them. Thanks to his ennobling comradeship, in the initial days of the Korean revolution the ranks of new-type revolutionaries rallied on the basis of comradely love and obligation were formed, and at present the whole society, with his comradeship as the foundation, has turned into a world of comrades with their leader at the centre. The sacred history of his revolutionary activities is the history of comradeship, which was opened up and recorded a series of victories by dint of comradeship.

Kim Il Sung was a great man of ennobling character and virtue. He approached and looked after his people with a warm heart and in a simple and unceremonious manner. To the enemies, he was a tiger of Mt. Paektu, but to his men and people, a very kind-hearted and dear father. When talking to children, he became a child and to the elderly, their intimate friend; he cared for their innermost thoughts as a meticulous mother would do. When meeting workers, he held their grease-stained hands without reserve and in a rural village, had friendly talks with the peasants at the edge of a field; his speeches were often mixed with jokes, humorous and down to earth. Even though he was held in high respect and admiration by our people and progressive peoples of the world, he disallowed any special favour or privilege for himself, and always led a simple and frugal life with his people. So there was no gap between him and our people, from children to the elderly, and they admired and supported him with loyalty.

He was a holy person, magnanimous and broad-minded. His was a wide and benevolent embrace, in which all people who love their country and nation were held for care and protection. He embraced and trusted all those who love their country and nation, regarding them as his eternal companions on the road for the motherland and fellow countrymen. As he approached and embraced people with great magnanimity and benevolence, even those who had committed crimes against the nation in the past could make their life brilliant on the road for their motherland and fellow countrymen, following him as the benefactor for their revival and the father of their nation. Having been endowed with humaneness, boundless in width and depth, he kept close ties of friendship with party and state leaders as well as a large number of prominent figures in the political, social and academic circles of various countries of the world, who aspired for independence. Anyone who had ever met him, although they had different ideologies and political views, expressed boundless admiration and respect for him as they were attracted by his noble personality. That is why he was the richest in like-minded people and friends in the world.

Indeed, Kim Il Sung was the great leader of the revolution, the benevolent father of the people and a peerlessly great man admired by everyone, whose equal had never been recorded in history.

Field Guidance to Rungna People’s Pleasure Ground and Breast Cancer Institute

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, provided field guidance to the Rungna People’s Pleasure Ground nearing its completion and the Breast Cancer Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital now under construction. He was accompanied by Jang Song Thaek, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, and Pak Chun Hong and Ma Won Chun, deputy-department directors of the WPK Central Committee.

The first leg of his guidance was the Rungna Dolphinarium. Making the rounds of a ground viewing hall, a water tank for performance, a room for the dissemination of science and technology and other places in the dolphinarium, he acquainted himself in detail with its construction.

At the ground viewing hall he praised soldier-builders for having successfully built the dolphinarium as required by the era of Songun. He dropped in at the hall on the first floor and said it looks like an underwater world. He was very pleased that it has become possible to invite Pyongyang citizens to see refreshing seawater in sultry summer time. The second leg of his guidance was the construction site of the Rungna Alpamare. Feasting his eyes on a water sliding bed standing at a dizzy height, he said visitors would like it best. He added that he would surely re-visit it later to see people enjoying there. fter looking round a water pool for diving, a wading pool, a dressing and shower room and other places, he expressed great satisfaction over the best construction. He repeatedly praised soldier-builders for their feats. Calling for completing the construction project before the V-Day by simultaneously pushing forward the land levelling, he set forth tasks and ways to do so.

That day he went round the completed Rungna Amusement Park to learn in detail about the operation of equipment and facilities there. The last leg of his guidance was the Breast Cancer Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital under construction.

He made the rounds of a roentgen room, an operation theatre, a sick-room and other places of the institute to learn about its construction. He said that the institute is an object whose construction was personally initiated by leader Kim Jong Iland to which he paid special attention, personally examining its design. It is important, first of all, to make the operation theatre and all other treatment rooms of the institute sterile and dust-free, he stressed, specifying the issues which should be set right in the construction.

He underscored the need not to be content with the building of the institute. He noted that it is the WPK’s policy on preventive medicine to let women regularly visit the institute for medical checkup so that they may not suffer from mastopathy and breast cancer. He expressed his expectation and belief that soldier-builders would successfully build a modern breast cancer institute to be proud of in the world till the founding anniversary of the WPK.

World  Investment Report 2012

Geneva - The report indicates that global foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows rose moderately in 2011, finally surpassing the pre-crisis FDI level reached in 2007.  It predicts that growth will continue much more slowly through 2012, but notes that this progress is vulnerable to a number of possible “disruptive events.”

WIR12 figures show that FDI flows in the European Union region climbed last year, despite the banking and government-debt crises in various countries of the Euro zone.

As it does every year, the report will provide regional and national statistics on FDI inflows and outflows.

The special focus of this year’s report is on investment policymaking.  The WIR examines national and international policies from the perspective of current concerns and presents a comprehensive Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development (IPFSD) consisting of core principles, guidelines for national investment policies, and options for the design and use of international investment agreements.

The report will be accompanied by press releases summarizing FDI trends globally and in each major region; reviewing developments in 2011 in the realm of government policies on investment; and describing the new Investment Policy Framework.

KCNA Commentary Dismisses Japanese Newspapers'  Story about DPRK's Uranium Enrichment

Pyongyang (KCNA) -- Japanese papers Tokyo Shimbun and Mainichi Shimbun on July 2 released misinformation that they got what they called a "document" on the DPRK's program for developing nuclear weapons, "there was an instruction to make nuclear bombs by use of highly-enriched uranium" and "it was a political behest".  It is a politically-motivated plot to create a fresh atmosphere for ratcheting up international pressure on the DPRK as the story is a totally groundless and sheer fabrication.

It betrayed a foolish intention to legalize Japan's moves to go nuclear and emerge a military giant and calm down the vigilance and opposition of its neighboring countries to them. Of late Japan added a provision on "contribution to ensuring state stability" to the basic law on atomic energy and revised the basic law on space, laying down legal foundations for going nuclear and militarizing the space.

It is indisputable that Japan's moves are arousing vigilance and a strong opposition of the international community. In order to seek a way out, Japan, a master hand at lies and frauds and kingpin of intrigues, invented a story about "highly-enriched uranium" and spread it to the international community. Not content with this, the Japanese authorities set in motion even reptile papers to make the international community convince of the above-said story and went the lengths of daring hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK. This is an unpardonable politically-motivated provocation.

The Japanese reactionaries hatched such despicable plot as faking up the fiction about "manufacture of nuclear weapons by use of highly-enriched uranium," not content with slandering the DPRK and telling lies about it. This goes to clearly prove that their hostile policy toward the DPRK has reached an extreme phase.

What should not be overlooked is the fact that the story was invented at a time when the attempt of the Japanese authorities to hastily conclude a military agreement with the south Korean puppet group in camera hit a snag due to the strong protest of the political and public circles of south Korea. It is by no means accidental that a researcher of the Institute for International Studies of Moscow University for International Relations commented that Japan tried to show south Korean lawmakers that only when south Korea cooperates with Japan, can it frustrate the nuclear program of the DPRK.

Japan worked hard to sign a Japan-south Korea military agreement by orchestrating even a preposterous burlesque. This is a base act which can be conducted only by crafty and cunning barbarians of the archipelago.
The Japanese reactionaries are keen to create an international pressure upon the DPRK and do harm to it through heinous burlesque. This is nothing but a pipedream. The Korean people will never remain a passive onlooker to the moves of Japan to go nuclear and turn itself into a military power. They will never allow any wrong act to conclude the disgraceful military agreement with the Lee group of pro-Japanese traitors.

Field Guidance to Pyongyang Hosiery Factory and Children’s Department Store

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, provided field guidance to the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory and the Children’s Department Store.

He was accompanied by Jang Song Thaek, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, Pak Pong Ju, department director of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Jae Il, first deputy-department director of the WPK Central Committee, and Ryang Chong Song, deputy-department director of the WPK Central Committee. The first leg of his guidance was the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory. He went round the room dedicated to the history of the factory. He highly praised the workers of the factory for having implemented leader Kim Jong Il’s behest by building up the production capacity of the factory by their own efforts and technology.

Going round the women’s hosiery workshop and the newly-built men’s hosiery workshop, he acquainted himself in detail with their technical equipment and production there.Very good is the performance of the packing machine the factory produced by itself and is using, he noted, praising Jo Su Gyong, a researcher of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, for her success in developing it.At the sample room he was pleased to see a variety of hosiery of beautiful colours, saying that people would like them. He called on the officials and workers of the factory to achieve great achievements by producing greater quantities of more quality hosiery so as to supply them to the people. The next leg of his guidance was the Children’s Department Store.

He looked round various places of the department store from the ground floor to the second floor to learn in detail about the varieties and quality of goods and the service plan. He dropped in at the school things counter and learnt in detail about the quality of stationeries and notebooks. He gave precious instructions for the production and supply of larger quantities of school things. Seeing the goods displayed at the children’s shoes, rhythmic toys, sports apparatuses and other counters, he clarified issues arising in further improving the quality, shapes and colours of goods as required by the new century. He expressed great expectation and belief that the officials of the Children’s Department Store and other relevant units would render better devoted services for the sake of children, the future of the country.

US covert aims behind Abbottabad raid

Sajjad Shaukat

After the 9/11 tragedy, Pakistan joined the US war against terrorism as frontline state with because the country was not only facing acute financial crisis, but also hostile factor of India . Islamabad was also granted the status of non-NATO ally by Washington because of its successes, achieved by Pakistan ’s Army and country’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) against the Al Qaeda militants. Within a few years, when the US-led NATO forces felt that they are failing in coping with the stiff resistance of the Taliban in Afghanistan , they started accusing Pak Army and ISI of supporting the Afghan Taliban. US high high officials and their media not only blamed Pakistan for cross-border terrorism in Afghanistan , but also presumed that a plot to attack the US homeland would be prepared in FATA where safe-havens of Al Qaeda exist. They also emphasised Pakistan to ‘do more’ against the militants coupled with drone attacks on Pakistan ’s tribal areas by ignoring the internal backlash in the country.

Since 9/11, US had been playing double game with Pakistan , sometimes praising Pak Army for successful military operations, sometimes ISI for capturing renowned Al Qaeda commanders, and sometimes cajoling Islamabad with economic and military aid. Notably, US-led India and Israel have been implementing a secret agenda against Pakistan which is the only nuclear country in the Islamic world. In this regard, strained relations already existed between Pakistan and America , while these were deepened when on May 2, 2011, without informing Islamabad , US commandos killed top Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden in a covert raid in Pakistan ’s city, Abbottabad.

After the death of Bin Laden in Pakistan, all the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces which broke the backbone of the Taliban militants through successful military operations and those of ISI which arrested renowned Taliban commanders, namely Khalid Sheikh, Abu Faraj, Abu Zubaida, Khalfan, Abu Hamza Rabia, Mullah Abdul Ghani Bardar etc. were totally ignored. Osama’s killing triggered celebrations across the US , India , Israel and some western countries followed by a deliberate propaganda against Islamabad . In this context, a blame game against Pak Army and ISI was revived especially by the US and Indian media. They alleged that Osama’s presence was in knowledge of Pakistan ’s superior agency, and other Al-Qaeda leaders have also taken shelter in Pakistan . Some American high officials also accused Pakistan ’s ISI of intelligence failure regarding Bin Laden.

In this respect, BBC quoted the former Director General of ISI, Ahmed Shuja Pasha, saying that Osama’s compound in Abbottbad was registered under a fake name. He had also pointed out that after the Tora Bora operation, Osama Bin Laden became an enemy of Pakistan . Besides, Pakistan ’s Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Army Spokesman Maj-General Athar Abbas also refuted foreign allegations in connection with Osama and ISI. It is notable that while Bin Laden was living in the Abbotabad compound for five years, and as to why US intelligence agencies, CIA and FBI could not know about his presence—and as to why he was not captured in the last ten years. Similar aquestion also arisess about the September 11 suicide attacks. It was described as the greatest intelligence failure of the American spy agencies.

However, despite its vast resouces, technical intelligence e.g. satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles and human intelligence—extraordinary long-range aerial military capacity, the ability to strike at will from the space at any point on the globe, US secret agencies, especially CIA failed in detecting Bin Laden and destroying Al Qaeda’s terrorist network for the past ten years. Nevertheless, compound where Osama Bin Laden was living was a norm rather than exception. A number of people have been living in the neighbourhood of that compound at Abbottabad. While Pakistan ’s various television channels have shown the interviews of the neighbourers, living there, who remarked that they were never suspicion about Osama’s presence. So ISI did not have a magic to know the whereabouts of Bin Laden there. It was also not possible for this spy agency to check all the houses of Pakistan or to interfere in peoples’ privacy so as to find out Bin Laden. While the May 2, US military action at Abbottabad was still fresh in the memory of every Pakistani, on November 26, last year deliberate air strikes by the US-led air on Pakistan Army outposts in Mohmand Agency which killed 24 troops by violating the country’s sovereignty greatly added to the heightened sense of anti-Americanism strengthening the position of hardliners who oppose cooperation with Washington. Knowing the US covert designs, Islamabad decided to redefine its relationship with the US , which also includes cessation of drone attacks and conditions to NATO supply to Afghanistan .

It is mentionable that American CIA, Indian secret agency RAW and Israeli Mossad are sending well-trained militants from Afghanistan , who not only commit various subversive acts in Pakistan on daily basis, but also target the checkposts of army. These agencies are also supporting the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and another separatist group, Jundollah (God’s soldiers) which are working against the cordial relationship of Pakistan with China and Iran . In the past few years, their militants kidnapped and murdered many Chinese and Iranian nationals in Pakistan . Jundollah has been committing subversive acts in Pakistan , and in Iranian Sistan-Baluchistan. Tehran has repeatedly accused CIA for funding those terror-attacks.

It is noteworthy that Dana Rohrabacher introduced a resolution in the US House of Representatives on February 17, 2012, calling upon Pakistan to "recognise the right of self-determination for Balochistan." This resolution has exposed US secret designs against Pakistan . In fact, Washington wanted to make Osama, the scapegoat of US multiple covert aims. Firstly, with the help of Indo-Israeli lobbies, US started distorting the image of Pakistan in the comity of nations. Secondly, America increased drone attacks on Pakistan . Thirdly, US and India propagated that Pak nukes were not safe. Fourthly, without bothering for any internal backlash inside Pakistan , America accelerated its pressure on Islamabad to take military action against Haqqani group in North Waziristan . While, Pakistan already made it clear that army is engaged in other tribal areas, so it cannot attack the militants of North Waziristan . Fifthly, America wanted to create a division between Pakistan ’s military and civil institutions.

Besides, under the pretext of Osama’s death, the US intended to fulfill some other clandestine purposes. After the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan in 2014, America had already planned to maintain its military presence in that country in order to safeguard Indo-US interests, and to act upon hidden agenda to destabilise Pakistan , Iran and China . Notably, American cost of war against terrorism which had reached 8 trillion dollars was increasing rapidly—acute recession inside the country had given a greater blow to the US economy. In such a scenario, American public was particularly worried about the failed campaign in Afghanistan . So Osama’s episode could be used to distract the attention of its general masses from internal crisis, and for re-election of Obama as President.

Dalit or Scheduled Caste

By Vidya Bhushan Rawat

A committee headed by Prof S.K.Thorat , former Chairman of University Grants Commission has recommended to use term Scheduled Castes instead of Dalits in the NCERT text books. The committee was formed by the government after an uproar in the parliament over the cartoons depicting Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar in a very distasteful way. The Members of Parliament wanted the government to take action on it and remove all the cartoons. The Minister for Human Resource Development Mr Kapil Sibal announced formation of the committee under Prof Thorat and asked it to finish its report with in a month. The six member committee recommended removal of 21 cartoons from the text books of NCERT in social sciences and political sciences from class VI till XIth. The committee said that a majority of these cartoons were politically sensitive and hence educationally inappropriate to be included in the curriculum. According to some experts, India is a hugely diverse country and hence that diversity must be reflected in our text books. Ofcourse, in the name of diversity, we cannot promote views in the textbooks which support caste system, untouchability, discrimination against women and so on. In fact, all the text related to mythologies must be removed from classes so that our children develop critical attitude towards life and do not fall prey to false priests and saints in the name of culture and traditions.

The committee did not stop with removal of cartoons but also suggested to the NCERT board and other governmental agencies not to use term ‘ Dalit’ in the text books. Instead, it said, our text books should promote the usage of the word ‘scheduled castes’, as referred in the constitution of India for the Dalits and scheduled tribes for the Aadivasis. Since, education in India is under government control hence everything that it wishes become the law in the text books. Actually, the cartoon issue has come handy for the political elites of the country who wanted to get rid of them. While there is no doubt that Cartoon on Baba Saheb Ambedkar and framing of constitution was in bad taste and does not reflect what it want to convey yet under the garb, it has removed all other cartoons made on Mrs Indira Gandhi and her actions during emergency.

One can debate on merit and demerits of the removal of these texts but time has come when we need to take education out of the control of the government. It does not mean way to privatization of education as envisaged by many. Government should be the provider of hardware for education which is like infrastructure etc, but the software of it must not be with the government but in hands of a committee or board duly constituted by it but accountable to parliament. The authorities always fear an autonomous committee to develop curriculum. At least it should not be under government controlled babaus and academics. Let there be diverse groups in that but it is not a contract handed over to people to represent communities. It is important that representation must be there but that is not the sole criteria. The curriculum must compel students to think and question even the text books. The problem arises when we are made to question everything which is not made by ‘us’ or ‘our’ academics. This will never take towards any solutions as the fight is among the elite of all communities to take government freebees and become part of the structure. With the mandate of the Parliament, the committee looked into six text books and nearly 150 cartoons and finally reached the conclusion that not all of them should be part of our curricula.

An argument is being given that cartoons can be part of our newspapers but should not be part of our curriculum as it can influence their thinking. Point is what kind of education we want to impart to our children. Do we want them to think what is good for them or is it better to make them think and decide as what is good or what is bad? There are arguments that the expert committee is not representative and each community person should be there in the committee. Representation of communities must be there in each segment but where does it stop. The same people who want to get represented in the name of Dalits actually oppose sub quota for the communities which are lagging behind, as a brahmanical conspiracy. Perhaps, that is why government and likeminded people never feel comfortable with the word Dalits which is a resistance against the brahmanical hegemony and challenges it with keeping its head high. Term Dalit is now synonymous of revolt against the caste based varna dharma and proud of its icons, their efforts to get an alternative life style, openness and resistance. Dr Ambedkar has not used this word as he mostly confined to calling them as ‘untouchables’ or Depressed Classes or Scheduled Castes. But the fact is that Dalit word got power and identity in the 1970s when the Dalit panthers actually raised the banner of revolt against the existing system. Hence, Dalit is quintessentially Ambedkarism with radical left thoughts of challenging the caste, god, religion and everything which is against equality and based on discrimination.

I do not claim to have read the textbooks but will look into them but as per Indian Express report, Thorat committee has asked the government to remove the related word apartheid with untouchability and caste discrimination. It means that the committee really worked harder to make the text books really of the government of India so that it does not lend into trouble. Not many years back, the government of India was determined to foil every effort of the civil society organizations at the International forums to make caste discrimination issue international and related to apartheid. Perhaps that was the reason when the government of India send Omar Abdullah to Durban to deny everything that caste discrimination and untouchability exists in India. His foreign ministry officials presented India’s constitution and marked that untouchability was abolished in 1950s in the constitution of India.

None can deny importance of representation of identities in developing curriculum and administration but the issues will never settle that easily unless we put international standards in these. Education as political agenda will only serve the purpose of power elite who do not want to be questioned. The power elite can always bring diverse people to settle score with any change. Those who insist only identity matter must not forget that to defeat Dr Ambedkar, Congress brought another Dalit from Bhandara constituency and finally Ambedkar had to be brought from Muslim dominated constituency of Bengal. It is not for nothing that Prof Thorat was appointed the chairman of this committee to review the textbooks of NCERT as in India at the moment if you have to thwart any change play the Dalit card. Now, the committee has come out openly with recommendations and not just with removal of cartoons but also the word Dalit itself which is symbol of protest against the caste based hierarchical brahmanical system. Now, the committee want Dalits to be converted into the sarkari Dalits called scheduled castes who do not raise any issues of violation of their rights but only remain helpless in their government services only which most of the upper caste would call contemptuously as ‘quota-wallahs’. The Dalit is therefore an assertion against this culture of domination and patronization by the caste Hindus. For a Dalit, reservation is the constitutional right granted by the constitution, that Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar framed so laboriously and not mercy of the caste Hindus.

The debate on who should be part of curriculum and who not will continue as long as power elite think education to push their political agenda and convert children into those frame work which we want them to be. It is a dangerous precedent. It is time, we place the social reality in our text books and also those who fought against it and who are more than relevant in today’s situation. Make our children capable to handle their situation and not push them to the prejudiced prisons of past. Let us prepare them for future on secular democratic principles where rigidities are not imposed in the name of culture and education system does not become study of farcical philosophies in the name of culture and history. It is time we learn to analyse our history and political sciences critically only then we will make a strong foundation of our students to deal with the complicated issues that society face today. The software of education therefore must be delinked with the government and handed over to a much more democratized and decentralized body of educationists who have respect for international human rights laws and who are secular democratic in their view point so that our society respect democratic values and change for the better.

China will continue to uphold the banner of peace

Address by Chinese Ambassador at the Program to mark the 91st Anniversary of CPC Held by Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist)

'Today is the 91st Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China. I feel very honored to be invited to attend this talk program on "Nepal policy of the CPC on the changing global background" held by Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist) to mark this important event. I’m very glad to celebrate the birthday of CPC with so many leaders from parties and friendship organizations. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to the organizer, Communist Party of Nepal (ML), and all the friends present at the ceremony today.

Founding in 1921, the CPC has continuously integrated the universal principles of Marxism-Leninism with the concrete practice of the Chinese revolution and construction, and grown up from a small party with fifty members into a large ruling party which has a sixty-year experience of governance and more than eighty million party members, and has led the Chinese people to win the great victory against imperialist aggression and in socialist construction, to achieve the historical mission of the national independence and people's liberation, and to open the glorious journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The present world is undergoing tremendous developments, changes and adjustments. The progress towards political multi-polarization and economic globalization is developing in depth. All countries have become increasingly interdependent, and the cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit has gradually turned into the common views of the international community. However, we should also recognize that the new international political and economic order has not yet been established, and the development of world economy is also facing major challenges. Every member of the international community is now threatened by climate change, energy security, food security, terrorism and other non-traditional security issues.

According to the present situation, China will continue to uphold the banner of peace, development and cooperation, pursue a win-win strategy of opening up, and share the opportunities brought by the development of economy; China will continue to consolidate and develop the friendly relations with the developing countries, to cement traditional friendship and strengthen communication and coordination with them, and to uphold the common interests of developing countries; China will continue to follow the foreign policy of friendship and partnership, and to push forward the practical cooperation with our neighbors, strengthen communication among various fields, and further promote the traditional relationship in order to create a regional environment featuring harmony, inclusion and win-win cooperation together with neighboring countries.

The Communist Party of China has always attached great importance to developing friendly relations with foreign political parties and organizations under the basic principles of independence, equality, mutual respect and noninterference in each other's internal affairs, and constantly enriches the content and form of exchanges between political parties. At present, the CPC maintains various types of friendly exchanges with more than 600 political parties and organizations in more than 160 countries and regions around the world. The all-sided, multi-channeled, wide-ranged, and deep-rooted pattern of inter-party exchanges has been continuously deepened. The Communist Party of Nepal (ML), as an important political party of Nepal, has maintained good communication and cooperation with the CPC for many years, and has made great contributions to the comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring ever-lasting friendship between China and Nepal. In the future, we will continue to maintain the close inter-party exchanges with CPN (ML), intensify the traditional friendship between the two parties, and jointly promote the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations to a new level."
