Koirala to open NC’s Koshi zonal level meeting

Biratnagar, Nov. 18: President of the Nepali Congress (NC) and former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is scheduled to inaugurate a meeting of the party Koshi Zonal level activists amidst a function here tomorrow.

Various other leaders of the party, including General Secretary Sushil Koirala, central committee members and ministers will address the meet to be held in the premises of NC Morang district committee office.

According to Ashok Koirala, President of NC Morang district committee, all the district committee presidents, secretaries and area presidents will participate in the gathering.

"As per the decision of the Central Working Committee meeting, the zonal gathering has been organised to strengthen the organisational structure of the party," said the party’s district committee president.

NC President Girija Prasad Koirala, General Secretary Sushil Koirala, some central committee members, ministers and the party’s district committee presidents have arrived here today.

In the meantime, President Koirala will also inaugurate the office of the NC Eastern development Regional Coordination Committee tomorrow.

Recently, Koirala has nominated Dilip Sapkota, NC Morang district committee vice-president and member of NC general convention, as member-secretary of the regional coordination committee. Kul Bahadur Gurung, central committee member, is the coordinator of the committee.
